Professional Experience

Jonathan Maskew is a business management and marketing consultant and executive coach. He specialises in working with barristers´ chambers, assisting with strategic and business planning including designing bespoke client relationship management and marketing initiatives.

Formerly a Senior Clerk/Practice Manager with 20 years experience, Jonathan has first-hand experience clerking and of managing a busy chambers. A former member of the Institute of Barristers´ Clerks management committee, Jonathan has played key roles in the development of the national "BTEC Advanced Award in Chambers Administration" and the Bar Standards Board national training course "Complaints Handling for Chambers".

Jonathan began consulting in 2006 and has since then worked with a variety of chambers and individual barristers on a variety of initiatives including restructuring, performance development and review, business strategy and marketing initiatives, intelligence gathering, competitive tendering and standards compliance. Jonathan is alive to the challenges and opportunities presented by the Legal Services Act and the modernisation of the legal services market in which Bar Select will play its part.
