Diary Bookings

Bar Select hosts the market leading LEX diary management system and exclusively offers clients an online directory of availability and booking process. As a registered member of Bar Select each barrister has a personal diary into which the barrister, or the barrister's clerk, can enter availability for advocacy and papers. This is how the service will operate:

• You initiate the booking process by completing a short booking form giving details of the case and proposed fees;
• You can then choose the 'Public List' option and your booking form will be placed on a list, organised by practice areas, that our barrister members can view - those who are interested can then respond and you can communicate with them through Bar Select;
• If you prefer to search for available barristers based on criteria such as practice area, seniority and geography the results of your search will be displayed from which you can examine individual barrister profiles;
• You can then select one or more barristers from the search results to whom you wish to send the booking form - each barrister will make a conflict check and then decline, respond with questions or submit a quote;
• You can then select a barrister you wish to book and once the barrister has confirmed the booking is recorded in the Bar Select diary;
• Thereafter you will be notified of all subsequent entries in the diary for that case.

Case Record

Once a case has been booked you and your chosen barrister may choose to make use of Case Record which provides a secure medium through which you and your chosen barrister may, if you both choose, manage all your communications and documents related to the case.
