Charging Model
We have been listening to barristers and chambers management since we announced Bar Select at the beginning of July and have decided to simplify our charging model to subscription only - £99 per year (+VAT).
Some clearly regarded the idea of a percentage of fees as suggesting that Bar Select is seeking to compete with chambers. Bar Select is solely concerned to channel more business to barristers who choose to join. The primary focus of Bar Select is to generate new work opportunities for our barrister members while meeting the expectations of an ever more demanding client market.
Founder Membership
The first 100 barristers to register on or before 1st October 2009 will receive two months free (in their first membership year only) and a free enhanced listing for the life of their memberships. Register your interest now - its first come first served!
LEX - Licence Fees
We have been able to negotiate better terms with Bar Squared Limited as part of our move to a subscription only model.
- If you are already a LEX user you will not have to pay an additional user licence fee for using Bar Select's hosted version of LEX.
- If you are not already a LEX user you will be charged a one-off licence fee of £390 collected monthly over the first 10 months of your membership in addition to your membership subscription. Should your chambers become a LEX user, your chambers user licence fee will be reduced by the £390 paid (or pro-rata if your have not paid 10 monthly instalments).
